2008
China Children Insurance Foundation (CCIF) developed an exclusive, low cost charity insurance product to protect children between the ages of 3 to 15 in China. CCTF would designate a list of children to be protected; those children should be in good health condition such that their applications would be approved by the insurance company. This charity insurance covers four types of critical illnesses and severe injuries common to children in China - leukemia, acute renal failure (uremia), severe burns and double/single permanent total blindness.
CCIF completed two batches of donation distribution, covering 3 provinces, 38 districts/counties, 113 schools and 41,478 children. These include 1,077 orphans from the 5-12 major earthquake.
We establish our official website to provide a platform for our fund-raising and branding. And we can also offer donation by SMS. Besides, we have held numerous lets help each other post-earthquake risk protection educational events.
2009
Since May 2009, CCIF have started providing our exclusive insurance product to children between the ages of 3 to 15 in Zhang Jia Kou of Hebei Province. As a next step, CCIF plans to send our charity insurance cards to more than 600,000 children by the end of 2009. In the future, we will increase the number of children to be helped by expanding the scope of coverage, the types of needed children groups and our targeted age groups. To ensure quality planning and effective execution, we would leverage the resources in various educational institutions, social organizations and government authorities. We encourage every person, corporate and organization to participate in this innovative and scientific program. Together we can maximize the resources to work for this charity purpose offering protection to more and more children. Finally, we hope to leave no child behind across China in a reasonable timeframe.
